Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a widely used, evidenced based treatment intervention that focuses on learning and developing skills in four core areas: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Individuals who benefit from DBT identify challenges in varying areas of their lives. They come for help with interpersonal conflict, family dynamics, difficulty managing their own reactivity and emotions, depression, and anxiety.
