About My Clients
In our lives we face circumstances that can lead us to cope in whatever ways we can. However, sometimes those coping methods lead us into shame and disconnection. I lend a compassionate ear to my clients struggling with addiction, life transitions, relationship issues, intimacy, and more. I strive to lend empathetic and compassionate support to my clients, in order to help them grow deeper in their self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
I use techniques and concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Therapy to provide you with a space to learn and grow more comfortable and familiar with your emotions. I understand that relationships are not linear; we all experience our share of highs and lows. In my work with couples, I hope to facilitate difficult conversations, and create a space where my clients can practice and improve their communication and trust. I practice sex-positive, gender- and sexuality-affirming therapy. I recognize that therapy can be a daunting and sometimes uncomfortable process, but through humor, kindness, and empathy, I hope to develop a safe and trusting relationship that allows you to grow and reach your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The pillars of my practice are warmth, humor, and empathy. I try to facilitate a relational therapeutic experience for my clients. By building a foundation of trust, we can start to explore and understand your emotions. I welcome all people to my practice, and I look forward to the opportunity to learn from each client I have the honor to work with.
